From the Airport

The Quito Airport, Mariscal Sucre is located in Tababela  about 35 km north of the city.  Travel time from the airport along the new road is approximately 45-50 minutes. Please contact us to arrange your taxi, to get here fast and safe.


By taxi  $26.00 US. Go to the Taxi Dispatch booth inside the terminal and tell them you want to go to Hostel Revolution. They will give you a slip of paper to give to the taxi driver. Taxis can be shared to split the cost if someone else is going to the City. Most drivers are familiar with the address of the Hostel.  If the driver is not familiar with the street address tell him Los Rios near the Maternity Hospital (Hospital Maternidad.)

Express Airport Shuttle   “Aeroservicio” (direct) to the old Airport then city bus or taxi to the Hostel. Buses leave every 30 minutes. Cost $8.00 per person plus about $8.00 for a taxi. The ticket counter is in the arrival hall at the new airport. This  is not a really good option for multiple passengers, as it ends up being as expensive as taking the taxi.

The public shuttle bus (slow, many stops about (1h 30 mins.) to the Rio Coca terminal. You can buy the ticket from a person who is sitting outside the arrival hall at the airport. ($2.00) to Rio Coca. When you enter the terminal Rio Coca you have to pay $0.25. From Rio Coca terminal you can take  the “Red” Ecovia bus to the Simon Bolivar stop at Park Alameda. (temporarily the stop is on 10 de Agosto ). We are a short, 1 block walk uphill on Julio Castro from Avenida Gran Columbia.  The bus from Rio Coca can be crowded and you should always keep an eye on your belongings. Alternatively you can take a taxi from Rio Coca to the hostel which costs around $6.00 depending on the traffic.
